Net Optics Span Link Aggregator Tap extends the reach of GigaBit monitoring devices to multiple Span ports. The Span Link Aggregator Tap combines all the traffic from up to eight 10/100/1000Base-T Span ports into one GigaBit Copper monitor port.
Installing a monitoring device on individual Span ports in the network is often time consuming and expensive. Restricted by tight budgets, security managers must make compromises that leave portions of the network exposed to attacks. Net Optics' Span Link Aggregator Tap addresses this challenge by increasing the number of links covered by monitoring devices already installed.
No Packets Left Behind
The Span Link Aggregator Tap buffers and scans incoming traffic from the Span ports on a round-robin basis. Buffer size and scan rate is optimized to ensure that no packets are dropped as long as the sum of data rates on the network ports does not exceed 1 GB.
Reliability
For additional reliability, the Span Link Aggregator Taps feature redundant power supplies. Power LEDs on the front of the Tap indicate the current power source.
